Our clients needed an architect in Torquay, Devon to provide them with a full exterior & interior design service for their new garden extension to provide kitchen and dining space for their family home..
This mid century villa in Torquay required re-configuring internally and an improved connection to the garden. The clients required a new large family day room with kitchen and dining space, overlooking an outside eating area and the garden beyond.
The house’s distinctive material palette of bright white walls and red clay tiles directed the aesthetic approach to the extension. White rendered flank walls frame a long run of sliding glass doors, whilst the roof is finished in red zinc.
The whole house was refurbished internally, with new bathrooms, joinery and finishes.
We were delighted to hire van Ellen and Sheryn architects for work at two Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centres. Whilst relatively small contracts they had important stakeholders and the team listened to us to fully understand and deliver the plans that were asked for.
