Build in Progress: Georgian House Refurbishment with Timber Clad Extension

The large contemporary extension and house refurbishment is located on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park, and enjoys a secluded wooded setting with views down into the Teign Valley. Construction began in December last year, and is well underway to completion before Christmas this year.

Slim profile windows have been installed, the corner-glazed opening is ready to take the structural glass sliding doors, and the specially-made larch cladding has been painstakingly set out with neatly chamfered corner junctions.

All this, combined with a standing seam metal roof, creates a simple yet contemporary extension to the Georgian house. The house itself is being significantly remodelled internally to allow for new underfloor heating and insulated walls, a large contemporary bathroom, new timber sash windows, and a much-needed new roof.
